The Woodrow Wilson Archive & Research Center welcomes all who are interested in learning more about the life, times, and legacy of Woodrow Wilson. From graduate students and professors to authors and family historians, researchers are able to access to the Museum’s archival documents and three-dimensional objects as well as its nearly 3,000 library titles for free.
Located in our Archive & Research Center, our collections consist of primary and secondary texts, periodicals, scholarly journals and the institutional records of the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library Foundation.
Because materials from the WWPL’s archival and three-dimensional object collections must be retrieved by staff, researchers who wish to use these collections must make an appointment with Library staff.
When conducting research, please take notes using pencil and paper or a laptop computer. Photocopies of library and archival materials can be made by the attendant. We do charge fees to make copies of documents and photos. Please see our fees structure below.
We need your help! WWPL is looking for volunteers that can assist us in transcribing documents. If you’re interested, the links below will direct you to the transcription site as well as our “How To” video on how to get started.

To visit the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and Research Center, take the brick steps leading up from our parking lot and turn left at the top of the stairs. Follow the brick road and take a left onto the paved driveway. The Library and Research Center is the first building on the right.

HOURS: Monday-Friday, 10 am-4 pm BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
To ensure that you have a quality visit, we require you to schedule a research appointment in advance. We do not do same-day appointments, and next-day appointments should be avoided if possible. This gives the Librarian time to conduct an interview to assess your information needs, and review and pull material.
You must be fully vaccinated to access the Library and Archives Research Center, and a mask must be worn for the duration of your visit. You can contact the Librarian directly by filling out the form on this page.
