HISTORIAN

Dustin McLochlin is the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums historian. He authors a series of essays on rbhayes.org that trace the evolution of Hayes's thoughts on slavery, race, and Reconstruction. He received his PhD in Policy History from Bowling Green State University.

PROFESSOR

Greg Downs is a Professor of History at UC Davis and author of three books about Reconstruction and the Civil War Era. With Kate Masur, he co-wrote the National Park Service’s first theme study of Reconstruction and helped historians’ efforts to lobby for the creation of the first National Park devoted to Reconstruction at Beaufort SC. With Masur, he co-edits the Journal of the Civil War Era.

PRESIDENT & CEO

Robin von Seldeneck is the President and CEO of The Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and Museum. Robin received her undergraduate degree from Mary Baldwin College, where she double majored in History and Political Science, and her Masters in Public Administration from James Madison University.
