WHAT: Book Talk: In Woodrow Wilson: The Light Withdrawn, Christopher Cox offers a panoramic reassessment of Wilson's life and his controversial role in the movements for racial equality and women’s suffrage. Wilson’s decades of opposition to the Susan B. Anthony Amendment, his segregation of the federal workforce, and his sympathy for Jim Crow laws deeply influenced the course of American history. By exploring these aspects in detail, Cox not only provides a fresh perspective on Wilson's presidency but also honors the unsung heroes who fought tirelessly for justice and equality.
